Workshop on Analysis of the Electricity industry development in the Baltic Sea Region
The Project – “Workshop in St.Petersburg on Analysis of the Electricity industry development in the Baltic Sea Region: markets, grid infrastructure, regulation” – aims to create an informal platform for the discussions and information exchange on the matters of technology, market and legal regulation as well as on coordination of power system planning development, including infrastructure and market scenarios. The immediate goal is to hold a seminar on the state of the art including on what might be improved in terms of information exchange about cooperation in order to provide sustainable grid operation, increase of transmission capacity of cross-border lines and markets integration in the region in the medium and long term, as well as to discuss environmental requirements in relation to the production of electrici-ty in EU and in Russia should be included in the seminar as an issue.
