The BASREC CCS initiative

The project “Transportation and storage solutions for CO₂ in the Baltic Sea Region” constitutes of 3 separate activities:

1. BASREC CCS Pre-study as input to the BASEC CCS conference. Institutt for Strategisk Analyse (INSA) accomplished this study in 2011.
2. The BASREC CCS Conference with its findings and outcome in 2012.
3. A BASREC network initiative on CCS 2013-2014 based on the findings and outcome of the BASREC CSS Conference

Question looked into through the pre-study and with results presented at the BASREC CCS Conference: How a regional joint solution could lead to a rapid and more cost-effective implementation of carbon capture and storage projects in the Baltic Sea Region – indication/description of possible (joint) solutions for the Baltic Sea Region with regards to cost and economy, handling of risk elements, possible upside/down side as well as transboundary issues?
